Horror-on-Sea 2022: Pat Higgins vs Powertool Cheerleaders

I can’t wait for this year’s appearance at the mighty Horror-on-Sea festival on January 15th. I’ll be delivering my new talk Pat Higgins vs Powertool Cheerleaders for the first time. It covers the filming of the new movie and a whole lot more.

Here’s the blurb from the site:

After several years away from directing, Pat was lured back into the filmmaking trenches after a Twitter exchange about a ridiculous title got out of control. With no warning at all, Powertool Cheerleaders vs the Boyband of the Screeching Dead went from tongue-in-cheek tweet to ‘go’ project in the space of an afternoon.

From having the #1 Kickstarter film project on the planet through to Pat unwittingly addressing over 2 million people whilst sitting in his pants, the journey to get the movie made was a rollercoaster like no other. And that was *before* the cameras started rolling…

Unseen footage and unheard anecdotes are the order of the day. Join Pat as he reminisces about a gore-soaked musical that you haven’t even seen yet, as he sets out to reclaim his position as one of the wildest indie horror directors in the country.

I really hope you’ll come along; you can grab tickets from this link here and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

There’s also a new interview with me from the fine folks over at Blazing Minds which you can find right over here.

Here’s to a fantastic 2022.

New Interview with Pat over at Micro Budget Massacre

If you haven’t yet checked out the awesome blog Micro Budget Massacre, allow us to point you in that direction. The blog was set up by our good friend MJ Dixon, writer and director of a whole slew of terrific independent features such as Slasher House and Legacy of Thorn.

Pat’s interview is the latest in a terrific series of chats with low budget horror writers and directors. The series has also featured¬†Liam Regan, who created the awesome Troma-influenced flick Banjo, and the prolific and unstoppable Jason Impey.
